Dubai · As-built capture
Dubai builds fast, and it renovates just as fast. Towers change tenants, malls are refitted, hotels are rebranded and older districts are upgraded, often with drawings that no longer match what is on site. 3D laser scanning in Dubai gives architects, contractors and facility managers an exact digital record of what really exists, captured in hours rather than weeks of manual measuring.
JPS Models Production is based in Dubai. We plan each scan around your deliverable, arrange capture with our vetted partners, and handle registration, modelling and quality control ourselves, so you deal with one accountable team from brief to final files.
Most Dubai sites are occupied, secured or both. Scanning can be scheduled outside trading hours, coordinated with building management and security, and planned to keep time on site short. Because a laser scanner records everything in its line of sight, one visit usually captures more than a traditional survey, which reduces the need for return trips when the design team has a new question.
Capture is carried out with survey-grade terrestrial laser scanners, mobile/drone LiDAR and GNSS equipment through our vetted partner network; processing uses industry-standard point cloud and CAD/BIM software alongside our AI workflows. Where local licensing is required, fieldwork is delivered with licensed local survey partners.
Every project starts with the deliverable, not the scanner. Depending on what your team needs, we deliver registered point clouds for viewing and measuring, 2D plans and elevations, or full scan to BIM models in Revit or IFC. Typical formats include E57, LAS/LAZ and RCP for point clouds, and DWG, RVT, IFC and 3DM for drawings and models. Accuracy is specified per project to suit the deliverable and confirmed in our proposal.
A typical project starts with a short call and a look at any existing drawings. We confirm what the scan is for, which areas are included, what level of detail is needed and which formats your team works in. Access, permits and working hours are agreed with building management before anyone arrives on site.
On the day, scanner positions are planned so every room, riser and facade is covered with enough overlap for reliable registration. Back in the office, scans are registered, checked and cleaned, and any modelling or drawing work begins. Before delivery, a senior specialist compares the output with the point cloud and checks for gaps. If the design changes later, the same point cloud can be reused to answer new questions without going back to site, which is one of the main reasons design teams choose scanning over manual measurement.

Site time depends on the size and complexity of the building. Turnaround is agreed upfront and depends on project size; we respond to enquiries within one business day.
Yes. Scanning can be planned outside working or trading hours and coordinated with building management to keep disruption low.
If your team is comfortable working in point cloud software, a registered point cloud may be enough. If you need editable walls, floors and services in Revit, a scan to BIM model is the better choice. We help you decide at the brief stage.
